Database disclosure via unsafe orderby interpolation
Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in GamiPress 7.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract sensitive database data via the orderby parameter. The unauthenticated gamipress_get_logs AJAX handler passes request attributes into CT_Query, whose get_results method decodes and inserts orderby into the SQL ORDER BY clause without a column allowlist. Access to a nonce exposed by a page using the logs feature is enough to issue time-based queries that disclose data without modifying or deleting it.
