Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated AJAX action
Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in SWEET CODE CHEF SL GamiPress 7.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. The unauthenticated gamipress_ajax_get_logs() AJAX handler passes an insufficiently validated action value to do_shortcode(), which interprets attacker-controlled shortcode syntax. No account or user interaction is required; the resulting effect depends on the shortcodes registered by the WordPress site.
