Stored XSS via unvalidated shortcode form identifier
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Saturday Drive Ninja Forms 3.8.24 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The shortcode handler accepts a user-controlled form identifier without enforcing a numeric value, and the rendering path emits the attribute without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the shortcode in a page; the script runs when another user opens that page, enabling actions and data access in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
