CVE-2024-1346

Database root access via constant-derived password

Published Feb 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Weak database credentials in PRGTEC Corporation LaborOfficeFree 19.10 allow local users to calculate the MySQL root password from two constants. The password-generation logic derives the database root password from two constant values, making the credential predictable rather than secret. Local access is required, and successful derivation exposes the LaborOfficeFree database with root privileges, enabling data disclosure and modification.
