IP address blocking via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Apptivo Business Site CRM 5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to block IP addresses via forged requests. The awp_ip_deny page processes a state-changing request without correctly validating its WordPress nonce, so attacker-supplied block actions are accepted. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated remote attacker to induce a logged-in site administrator to submit the forged request, causing chosen addresses to be denied.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
