Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Caster.fm WPRadio plugin 1.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in visitors' browsers. The wpradio_player shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and renders them without context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload in a page, and the script executes in the browser of any user who visits that page.
