Stored XSS via unescaped quiz fields
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Harmonic Design HD Quiz before 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through quiz fields. Question and answer values accept event-handler markup without adequate sanitization or output escaping, then render the stored payload when a quiz page is viewed. Editor-level access is required, and exploitation is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; a visitor must load the injected page.
