Unauthenticated file resets via missing capability checks
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Raptive Ads 3.6.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset the plugin's ad and CLS files. The site_ads_files_reset() and cls_file_reset() handlers perform their file-reset operations without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to unauthorized modification of those files.
