Stored XSS via unescaped widget HTML tags
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in CyberChimps Responsive Addons for Elementor 1.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via widget HTML tags. Several widget rendering paths store attacker-controlled HTML and return it in pages without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored payload executes in the browser of any user who opens an injected page.
