Subscriber-level theme installation via missing capability check
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Spexo Addons for Elementor 1.0.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install a WordPress theme. The tmpcoder_theme_install_func AJAX handler processes a theme-installation request without checking whether the caller can install themes. Subscriber-level credentials suffice to alter the site's installed theme set; no confidentiality or availability impact is reported.
