Stored script execution via unescaped subscriber settings
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in AWeber for WordPress 7.3.20 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. Subscriber settings such as Add Subscriber to, Add Tags, and Subscription Label are stored without sanitization and rendered without output escaping. Exploitation requires administrator-level settings access and execution when the settings page reloads, exposing the viewing user's session context to injected script.
