CVE-2024-13294Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via unrestricted file uploads

Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 10, 2025

Unrestricted file uploads in Drupal POST File before 1.0.2 allow remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code. The /postfile/upload endpoint accepts dangerous file extensions and bypasses Drupal's allow_insecure_uploads configuration instead of enforcing an extension allowlist. A role with the postfile upload permission is required; a crafted upload can execute server-side PHP or deliver script content in the site's origin.
