Unauthenticated denial of service via password-reset flooding
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Improper flood control in Drupal Open Social before 12.3.8 and 12.4.0 through 12.4.4 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The password-reset form fails to validate its flood-control limits correctly, permitting repeated reset requests beyond the intended frequency. No authentication or user interaction is required; request flooding can deny availability, while the response message discloses no information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
