Unauthorized mail form access via forceful browsing
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Access bypass in Drupal Email Contact before 2.0.4 allows remote attackers to reach restricted mail-sending forms by forceful browsing. The Email contact link formatter exposes the form without sufficiently enforcing entity- and field-level access restrictions. Reachability requires that formatter to be used, and the resulting access is limited to mail-form functionality associated with otherwise restricted content.
