CVE-2024-13236Network attack vector

Database disclosure via unprepared collection report queries

Published Jan 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

SQL injection in Tainacan 0.21.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data via collection_id. The reports REST controller incorporates the user-supplied collection identifier into existing SQL queries without sufficient escaping or parameter preparation. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation exposes database information without a reported ability to modify data or interrupt service.
