Stored XSS via unsanitized schema attributes
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Rank Math SEO 1.0.235 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through its REST API. The update_schemas path stores user-supplied schema attributes that affected releases insufficiently sanitize and later render without adequate escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes in the site origin when an affected page is accessed.
