Administrator script execution via unescaped _id parameter
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Reflected XSS in ECT Home Page Products 1.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The ect_homepage_prod_add administration page writes the _id query parameter into its HTML response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user to open a crafted URL, after which the script runs in that user's WordPress session.
