Stored script execution via unsanitized marker descriptions
Published Feb 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Google Map Plugin before 1.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted marker description. The Markers interface stores the Marker Description without sanitizing or escaping it, then renders the value when a map is edited or embedded. Access to marker management and a later map view are required; the script runs in the viewer's browser even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
