CVE-2024-13199Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped search query

Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

Reflected XSS in the /search endpoint of Mtons Mblog 3.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the kw parameter. The search handler places the kw query value into the returned page without escaping HTML event-handler attributes such as onerror. A browser must render a crafted search response; the proof of concept does not establish cross-user delivery, and VulDB scores low privileges.
