Unauthenticated service interruption via oversized AlertService data
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Ivanti Endpoint Manager allows remote attackers to interrupt core-server services through crafted AlertService data. AlertService fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before writing it, permitting an out-of-bounds memory write. No authentication or user interaction is required, and affected installations precede the 2024 January-2025 Security Update or 2022 SU6 January-2025 Security Update.
