CVE-2024-13160Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Machine-credential exposure via unchecked wildcard UNC path

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Absolute path traversal in Ivanti Endpoint Manager 2024 and 2022 SU6 before their January 2025 updates allows remote attackers to expose credentials. The unauthenticated GetHashForWildcard web-service method passes an attacker-controlled wildcard to a hash routine that constructs and accesses a remote UNC path. The outbound authentication exposes the EPM server's machine-account credential for capture or relay, enabling lateral movement.
