CVE-2024-1316Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Contributor-level event disclosure via unchecked confirmation shortcode

Published Mar 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Improper access control in Event Tickets before 5.8.1 and Event Tickets Plus before 5.9.1 lets remote authenticated users view nonpublic events. The tribe-user-event-confirmations shortcode accepts an arbitrary user ID and lists that user's RSVP-linked posts without enforcing post-status visibility. Contributor-level access and Event Tickets Plus are required to place and preview the shortcode; disclosure is limited to event existence and associated confirmation listings.
