Administrator account takeover via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Classified Listing 3.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to seize an administrator account via a forged request. The rtcl_update_user_account function processes the request without valid nonce verification and writes attacker-chosen administrator email and password values. Exploitation requires a site administrator to trigger the request, after which the attacker gains the account and blocks password recovery.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
