Unauthenticated file disclosure via directory listing
Published Mar 16, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025
Information disclosure in W3 Eden WordPress Download Manager before 3.3.07 allows remote attackers to list and download protected files. The upload directory relies on .htaccess rather than a server-independent index guard, so unsupported web servers return filenames and accept direct file requests. No authentication is required, but exploitation depends on directory indexing being enabled and files residing in the plugin's default storage path.
