Stored XSS via unprotected settings update
Published Feb 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Projects Portfolio with Client Testimonials 3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts via CSRF. The settings form accepts rewrite_slug without a valid CSRF check and stores it without sanitization or output escaping. An administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML while logged in; the saved payload then executes as script when the affected value is rendered.
