Stored XSS via forged stylesheet settings request
Published Feb 1, 2025 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Finance 1.3.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through a forged administrator request. The wpfinance CSS save action accepts an unverified stylesheet POST value and stores it without sanitization or output escaping. An authenticated administrator must open attacker-controlled content; the stored payload then executes when the plugin renders the setting.
