Administrator-session script execution via reflected trigger_id
Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Jan 27, 2025
Reflected XSS in WP Triggers Lite 2.5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The add-trigger administration page places the trigger_id query parameter into its response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted link, after which the script runs in that privileged WordPress session.
