Stored XSS via unsanitized user name
Published Dec 31, 2024 · Updated Dec 31, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Multi Role Login System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted user name. The add-user.php endpoint stores the name parameter without neutralizing script markup, and profile-detail rendering inserts the stored value into a page where a browser executes it. Exploitation requires low-privilege access to create a user and another user to view the affected name, enabling actions in that viewer's application session.
