Out-of-bounds write in the XE parser in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt 1204.90 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted file. The parser fails to validate user-supplied XE data against an allocated buffer's bounds, permitting a write beyond the buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs with the current process's privileges.
