Code execution via CO file type confusion

Type confusion in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt 1204.90 allows remote attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a crafted CO file. The CO file parser fails to validate user-supplied data before accessing it as an incompatible type, enabling execution in the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs with that process's privileges.
