Script execution via unsanitized name parameter
Published Dec 30, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024
Cross-site scripting in code-projects Chat System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the name parameter. /admin/update_user.php processes attacker-controlled name input without the output neutralization needed to prevent browser interpretation as active content. The attacker requires a low-privileged account, and another user must interact with the affected content; successful exploitation alters rendered page content.
