Database data disclosure via unparameterized book search
Published Dec 29, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024
SQL injection in faculty.php in Codezips College Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The book-search handler places the POST parameters book_name and book_author directly inside a SELECT statement and executes it with mysqli_query without parameterization or escaping. A valid application session is required; crafted UNION queries can disclose database contents, while further effects depend on the database account's privileges.
