Stored script execution via unsanitized marker fields
Published Dec 29, 2024 · Updated Feb 1, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Road Accident Map Marker 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in other users' browsers. The /endpoint/add-mark.php handler stores mark_name and details values without neutralizing HTML, and marker popups later render the stored input as active content. An attacker must submit a crafted marker, and execution occurs when another user views it, exposing that user's session and application data.
