Sensitive-data disclosure via file parameter manipulation
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Information exposure in Badger Meter moni::tool 4.6.3 and earlier allows local users to read sensitive log data via a file parameter. The application accepts a changed file parameter that selects a log file and returns its contents, including stored database credentials. Reachability requires local access, and the documented consequence is limited to sensitive information exposed through the selected log.
