Authenticated script injection via unneutralized room name
Published Dec 29, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024
Cross-site scripting in code-projects Chat System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a crafted chat room name. /admin/update_room.php passes the name parameter into Chat Room Page generation without the neutralization required to prevent script markup from being interpreted. Low-privileged access is required; published assessments disagree on whether victim interaction is also required, while the CNA bounds impact to page integrity.
