Reflected XSS via unescaped search_type parameter
Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Chimpstudio WP Foodbakery 4.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser via a crafted URL. The plugin reflects the search_type request parameter into generated HTML without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to open an attacker-crafted link; successful script execution occurs in the affected site's browser context and can read or modify page-accessible data.
