CVE-2024-12979Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Script execution via unfiltered cname output

Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Code Projects Job Recruitment 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through the cname parameter. The cn_update function in /_parse/_all_edits.php echoes the POST cname value into the response without filtering or output encoding. Successful exploitation requires a user to load the crafted response, where the injected script executes in the browser context and can expose sensitive administrator information.
