CVE-2024-12975

Memory disclosure via invalid full-duplex SPI packet

Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025

Buffer over-read in Silicon Labs Simplicity SDK before 2024.12.1 allows physically proximate attackers to disclose memory via SPI. The CPC application's packet handling reads beyond its buffer when it receives an invalid packet during full-duplex operation; the malformed field and parsing function are undisclosed. Exploitation requires physical SPI access and full-duplex operation, and the reported consequence is disclosure only, without integrity or availability impact.
