Database access via unsanitized q parameter
Published Dec 26, 2024 · Updated Dec 26, 2024
SQL injection in Portfolio Management System MCA 1.0 allows remote attackers to read and modify database data through the q parameter. The update_edu_details.php handler inserts q directly into an SQL query without sanitization or parameter binding, so crafted syntax changes the query. No authentication or user interaction is required, and demonstrated payloads support blind timing and UNION-based database access.
