Unauthenticated database access via unescaped email parameter
Published Dec 26, 2024 · Updated Dec 26, 2024
SQL injection in account.php in Code Projects Simple Car Rental System 1.0 allows remote attackers to access the database via a crafted email value. The login handler inserts the POST email parameter directly into a SQL query without validation or parameter binding, enabling time-based blind injection. No authentication is required; the public proof of concept uses a MySQL SLEEP expression to extract database contents and supports unauthorized database reads or writes.
