Administrator-session script execution via unescaped request parameters
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Reflected XSS in WPB Show Core before 2.7 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The public jplayer_twitter_ver_1.php endpoint reflects unsanitized podcastName, podcastSlug, title, or nested fileList title parameters into its response without context-appropriate escaping. Successful exploitation requires a high-privilege user to follow the attacker-controlled request and permits script execution in that user's WordPress session.
