Unauthenticated purchaser account takeover via unvalidated payment ID
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in Cozmoslabs Paid Member Subscriptions 2.13.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to access purchaser accounts. The pms_pb_payment_redirect_link function trusts the user-controlled pms_payment_id value and authenticates the user associated with that payment without validating the requester's identity. Exploitation requires knowledge of a valid payment ID and grants the corresponding purchaser's account access, including an administrator account if that user previously purchased.
