Credential-file disclosure via relative path traversal
Published Dec 22, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024
Relative path traversal in Intelbras VIP S-series web interfaces at build 20241222 allows remote authenticated users to read credential files. A crafted HTTP GET path beginning with ../ escapes the web root and returns mtd/Config/Sha1Account1 or Account1, which stores hashed or encrypted credentials. Low-privileged web access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of stored credentials rather than modification or service interruption.
