CVE-2024-12893Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized user-type name

Published Dec 22, 2024 · Updated Dec 25, 2024

Stored XSS in Portábilis i-Educar 2.0 through 2.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a user-type name. The user-type edit handler stores the name parameter without validation or sanitization, and the listing renders it so an injected event handler runs. Access to Settings, Permissions, and User Types with edit rights is required; execution occurs when a user returns to the previous page, exposing data and actions available to that browser session.
