CVE-2024-12870Network attack vector

Stored XSS via browser-rendered XML uploads

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Stored XSS in InfiniFlow RAGFlow through commit cec2080 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted HTML or XML uploads. Uploaded files are returned as application/xml, causing browsers to render embedded script instead of forcing a download or treating the content as inert data. Exploitation requires network access and a victim to open the stored file; script then runs in the RAGFlow origin and can read session data or access files available to that session.
