Sensitive-data disclosure via injectable directory shortcode
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
SQL injection in Member Directory and Profile Pages Add On before 1.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to read password hashes. The directory shortcode passes attacker-controlled level and ordering expressions into its user query and permits arbitrary user fields in output. Contributor access is sufficient to preview the crafted shortcode; publishing it exposes password hashes and reset keys to unauthenticated visitors.
