Unauthenticated service interruption via oversized upload filename

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in QAnything 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a file-upload request. The upload_files endpoint accepts multipart form-data containing an oversized filename without a documented length bound and exhausts server resources while handling it. No authentication is required, and the reported consequence is server unavailability rather than data disclosure or modification.
