CVE-2024-12862Network attack vector

Unauthorized collaborator removal via REST API

Published Apr 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

Incorrect authorization in OpenText Content Server 20.2 through 24.4 allows remote authenticated users to remove external collaborators. The REST API processes an external-collaborator removal request without enforcing the caller's required permission, although OpenText has not disclosed the endpoint or implementation locus. Exploitation requires a valid Content Server session and high privileges, and it changes collaboration access rather than interrupting the service.
