CVE-2024-12856Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote command execution via unfiltered time parameter

Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2025

OS command injection in Four-Faith F3x24 and F3x36 firmware 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands over HTTP. The /apply.cgi time-setting handler passes the adj_time_year parameter to the rtc_tm shell command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Administrative credentials are required, but unchanged factory credentials remove that gate and expose full command execution.
