Authenticated file upload via unfiltered archive extraction
Published Jan 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Garden Gnome Software Garden Gnome Package 2.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write server files. The automatic GGPKG extractor writes archive members without checking their extensions against an allowed-type list. Author-level access is required; remote code execution depends on the web server treating an extracted file as executable.
